Founder of Pieces of Ginger

Hi, I’m Lauren – the artist, teacher, and creative heart behind Pieces of Ginger. The name is a playful nod to my ginger hair and the many “pieces” of me that come together in this space: artist, educator, nostalgic soul, and lifelong maker.

With over 20 years of teaching experience – including 15 as a passionate primary school teacher – I’ve always believed in the magic of creativity. My work blends the storytelling of everyday objects with a love for colour, texture, and memory. I’ve exhibited in events such as the SWELL Sculpture Festival and have a deep love for helping others explore their own creativity.

Based in Murwillumbah at the M|Arts Precinct, my studio is a space where art is not just made, but shared – through workshops, classes, and moments of connection.
